Nobody cares what this old geezer thinks...

Nobody cares what this old geezer thinks...

Young folks ought to know that we old folks know more about being young than they know about being old.

Happy Mother's Day!

"A mother is a person who seeing there are only four pieces of pie for five people, promptly announces she never did care for pie."         Tenneva Jordan

"It is not easy being a mother.  If it were easy,  fathers would do it."    Unknown

HAPPINESS: You CAN be Happy!

This is what happy looks like.  Are YOU Happy?

What are the keys to happiness?  What if you have your spouse, children, friends, health, faith in God and you still aren’t happy?

You can improve your chances of being happy by:

  1. Taking control of your life.  Start making decisions. Don’t let others tell you what to do or think.
  2. Be optimistic.  When you make plans, assume you will succeed.  Replace “I can’t” with “I can – and will.”
  3. Test your skills.  Get involved in something that challenges your abilities.
  4. Get involved in something you believe is worthwhile.
  5. Help others.
  6. Find excuses to laugh.
  7. Lighten up.
  8. ACT as if you are happy.  Smile at people you don’t know.
  9. Accept yourself.  Change what you are capable of changing and learn to accept that which you cannot change.
  10. Don’t dwell on the things that have made you miserable in the past.  Put them out of your mind.
  11.  Put this on your mirror:

“Happiness is having something to do, someone to love
and something to hope for.”

Marie Osmond Marriage!

Marie Osmond, 51, remarried ex-husband Stephen Craig, 54, in the Las Vegas Temple. The pair were married from 1982 to 1985 and have a son, also named Stephen, who turned 28 in April.

They got their marriage license last night at midnight hoping to avoid the paparazzi, but it didn't work. When they exited the temple, the photographers were there and the word was out.

I lived down the street from her until just a few months ago when she moved a mile away. We are still in the same ward and our Relief Society President brought me some flowers from their wedding. (See below)

Craig was Osmond's first husband. She was since married to music producer Brian Blosil from 1986 to 2007. That marriage brought Osmond seven children -- two biological and five adopted.

"I am so happy and look forward to sharing my life with Stephen, who is an amazing man as well as a great father to my children," Osmond said Wednesday.

Marie walked the aisle in the same dress she wore for the couple's first wedding. The newly-re-weds held a reception in their Nevada home.
